Strong Rooms is a touring installation that explores archives through the eyes of the artist. The installation was open to the public for a limited run in Rugby, Coventry, Dudley and Worcester throughout summer 2016. Artist Mohammed Ali curated the Strong Rooms, bringing together a team of artists, bringing the archives to life, bringing new meaning to the past.

Knowledge Exchange (Archived Event)
On Friday 27 January 2017, a Knowledge Exchange took place on the Strong Rooms project at the University of Birmingham. Archivists and Artists came together to explore what was learnt ways of moving forward where archives can be used at the forefront of community engagement.

Strong Rooms invited young artists to respond to the question; Why Archives?
They submitted spoken word, photography, typography, illustration or paintings reflecting on the importance of archives. (closing date 17 February 2017)
